Breakfast at Tiffany’s is a classic rom-com that is both sweet, charming and iconic. It is on the list of one of my favorite movies and I cannot recommend it enough. Directed by Blake Edwards and starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard, the movie is set in New York City during the early 1960s and follows the story of Holly Golightly, a free-spirited young woman who is trying to find her place in the world. One of the things that makes Breakfast at Tiffany’s so charming is the chemistry between Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard. Hepburn’s portrayal of Holly Golightly is iconic and timeless ..read more

Last seen in the cinema: “Little Women”.

My friend Vanessa and I went to see Little Women at the cinema. We both really love the original movie (and I believe Vanessa also loves the book, however I haven’t read it) so naturally we had to see the new version. Greta Gerwig directed the movie, and I quite liked the movie Lady Bird which she also directed so I had high hopes for this version of Little Women. A part from that, the new cast was also pretty amazing. If you have seen any of my other movie posts, you will have noticed that Saoirse Ronan’s face has popped up a few times. She just honestly picks great roles, and almost anythi ..read more

Last night’s movie: Atonement ♡

An old one but a good one. Or well Atonement is not thaaat old, but I definitely think it is a good one. It always has me crying at the end of it. I also really like Kiera Knightley and Saoirse Ronan who are both such brilliant actors. It is a beautiful, yet tragic story about two sisters and how interpretations of what you see, or dont see, can easily ruin lives. We basically follow the sisters, and the housekeepers son, in the movie through many decades. We get to see how a misunderstanding shapes their lives. Personally I adore this movie, although I always cry at the very end.   The ..read more

Last night’s movie: On Chesil beach ♡

(Photo credit: BBC Films) On Chesil Beach is a beautiful and sad love story about a young couple who fall in love. I didn’t know anything about this movie before watching it. I only knew I always love Saoirse Ronan’s acting so I decided to watch it. Near the end I was crying a fair bit. It was such an honest story of how easy it is to judge someone without knowing the real story, the real reason behind it and how stubbornness can truly ruin lives.  You can watch ‘On Chesil Beach’ on Netflix or rent it on Blockbuster.  The post Last night’s movie: On Chesil beach ♡ appeared first on ..read more

Last night’s movie: The Grand Budapest Hotel ♡

(Photo credit: Fox Searchlight Pictures) The Grand Budapest Hotel has become a classic for me. It is a cooky comedy-drama about a lovely (and grand!) hotel run by the fastidious concierge ‘Monsieur Gustave H’ who takes the young bell boy known as ‘Zero’ under his wing. We are generally told the story of the hotel during its prime years, and how it changed ownership. There are so many fun and whimsical characters, and many cameos – as in most of Wes Anderson’s films. It is definitely worth watching if you like a bit of a different universe. I have watched it 5-6 times and it is equally wonderf ..read more

13 REASONS WHY REVIEW: If you don’t know what to watch on your summer holiday, or summer evenings, let me suggest this series “13 reasons why“. It’s a show aimed at young adults, but honestly, you can watch it at any age. It is entertaining from beginning to end, and I think the story really shook the world, as it is a subject that is rather touchy. General Information Cast: Katherine Langford, Dylan Minette & more Director: Tom McCarthy (and more..) Duration: About 55 minutes pr. episode Watch it here: Netflix  So what is 13 Reasons Why about? The story is about Hannah ..read more
