I own a 2013, Range Rover Sport; non supercharged. The car has 136,000 miles on it. I just paid $5,000 on a water pump, thermostat, cross over pipes and belts. Now I am hearing a knocking noise and the mechanic says it’s the timing chain which will be 24 hours @ $250 per hour and of course the parts; $9,000. It is still worth fixing to me so I have a car but at some point need to pull the plug. I have not touched the valve train but this could be next. Any suggestions on what other... L494 MY2020 Accident This car was involved in accident and the airbags got deployed, now Engine cranks but won't start, when starter fluid was sprayed into the intake, car runs and die, now the fuel pump does not come on. Hi, Are there any videos or Pictures where I can learn how to run wires from the Side View Mirrors to the Front Cabin A N D from the Front Grille through the Firewall to the Cabin? There are 2 Rubber Grommets on each front door jamb. I can't get them open to run wires through, worse I will still have the problem of getting behind the Head Unit (Stereo/Navigation System) or between the firewall and the head unit, which seems to be almost impossible to do in the Range Rover L405, L494. Hello I have the dreaded rattling timing chain on my RR 5.0 SC engine. Contemplating my options and I could use some advice on the particulars. The "ziptie method" of immobilizing the cams appeals to me, as I prefer to not remove the injectors and valve cover. Have others here done this repair and does replacing the timing tensioner and blade generally fix the rattle? I don't think the chain has stretched so much as it has too much slack. I drove off from a parking lot for about 30 seconds and at the exit comes audible sound and the message AIR. SUSP. INACTIVE and HDC INACTIVE with yellow exclamation mark on dashboards. Ignition on/off, driving for 30 min off, then on - did not help. So it has been like that for last couple of days. I cracked the driver side tail light on my 2008 Range Rover HSE with the Lux package and I cannot seem to find the proper replacement. Every website I find has just the HSE or Supercharged listed. Not knowing any better, I ordered a used one off eBay from a 2007 HSE but when I installed it I realized the color of the regular HSE tail light is a slightly darker grey than the HSE's with the LUX package.
