Physical activity is important for weight loss ?‍♀️, but it can't run on a bad diet?.  I used to exercise a lot when I was getting ready to participate in the Tae Kwon-Do World Championships, which consisted of 16 hours a week of training, including jogging, patterns training, and sparring. I was driven by misleading information about “calories in, calories out”.  I was eating healthy foods ?.  I was taking my supplements ?.  I was exercising a lot but was still struggling with my weight ?‍♀️.  If I would lose a few pounds, I would gain them back over the weekend ..read more

Or the day after -- maybe." Motivation does that, and it's not about just powering through. 1. Lighten Up Your Goals Your fitness goal may be too big for you right now, especially if you're new to exercise. Beginners tend to want to go for maximal goals, but they tend to get overwhelmed. So don’t start off trying to work out an hour every day. Instead, set more reasonable, achiev ..read more

Why It’s So Hard to Stick to Your Goals (and How to Make it Easy) What is the biggest source of failed goals, dreams, and ambitions? Is it luck? That you just didn’t have the right cards, and so there was nothing you could have done? Is it talent or method? If you were just smarter and used the right technique, you could have made it work? I’d like to argue that the vast majority of our struggles in life come down to one simple problem: our actions don’t match our intentions.  The Action-Intention Gap Think about the last goal you struggled with. Maybe it was losing weight, learning a Mar ..read more

It turns out that this is true where your brain health is concerned.  Is negative thinking bad for your brain? Scientists seem to think that it is. One of the key reasons people self-sabotage is a lack of self-esteem. These deep-seated thoughts and feelings cause negative self-talk, which fuels your fears and your self-sabotaging behaviors. Some people self-sabotage because it makes them feel in control of their situations. This can have many different causes, but the effects are the same: feelings of worthlessness, the belief that you don't deserve success, and even self-hatred. You may worry that if you fail, your family will think less of you, or that if you're successful, your co-worke ..read more

It sounds a little obvious, but to succeed at anything, it’s important to know where you are going, i.e. what you are going to be Legendary at. Find your path, your passion. In short, have a Vision. Take some time to meditate and ask yourself, where do I want to be 5, 10, 20 years from now. Visualize it, see yourself there. Ask yourself the hard questions: this vision, this dream, am I willing to sacrifice for it? How much? From there, work backward, for example: Dream - to become a World Champion  Need to train for a minimum of 16 hours a week minimum for 6 months to get there. Traini ..read more
