Alright I have been fighting WEIRD problems on this in both Linux with the mouse pointer not being visible, and now trying to install Windows. I had one installer that was suspect, so I was blaming my uncontrollable mouse on that. But I could actually see the pointer freaking out and moving all over the screen... In Linux, it simply wasn't there. Once I disabled the touchscreen, all was kosher. But the W10 installer directly from Microsoft's servers, is doing the same thing. I went... Dumb question, I am sure... But there is a tag on the bottom of my neused CF-31 that simply says "Pro Windows" and no product key. It looks like the W10 logo? The eBay listing state "Windows 7 Pro (License on laptop)" but yeah there isn't oops. Sent the seller this question too. I as here instead of asking Google and it is a Panasonic, and we already know about Panny OEM install discs and iso that don't need a product key. I know NOTHING about W10. I grabbed the latest version of mint, but there were some options and I suspect I may not have picked the best one. I grabbed the 64bit. There was a Mint based off Unbutu, and maybe one based of Suse? I probably grabbed the Unbutu version, don't remember. I can't do much. I can't see the mouse pointer and am blindly navigating. It is almost like the touchpad isn't enabled. So either I need a bistro that works with the touchpad, or a way to fix this one I guess. One that works,... Best Linux bistro for CF-31? Okay finally, I sorted out the Windows 7 install and musical drives in my CF-19 MK6. I swapped the larger 240gb drive out for a smaller 90gb one. Not for the faint of heart kiddies... I am wondering what I can get away with though... I have a CF-31 in need of a HDD, or I could grab a CF-19 MK8 with the proceeds from selling my friend the MK6. I prefer W7, and for a tuning only laptop with limited use, that will be fine until I can't get image files, or W7 finally breaks. I don't use... CF-31, or CF-19?
