It’s about time to start decking the halls… with fa la la la la, and all that other holiday jazz. I’m getting ready to pull out the Christmas bins this week. Before I do so, I always go through last years pictures. Mainly to remember what holiday treasures I have tucked away in all those dreadful bins. Knowing what I’m getting myself into before hand, helps me plan a little bit more upfront. And it really is no secret I love decorating for the holidays, twinkle lights, sentimental ornaments, and all the traditions we have in our home. One of my favorite, and easiest ways to spread some holiday ..read more

It’s been a great start to the week here in our house! The weather is getting super chilly, and we’ve seen some snowflakes, which makes us believe the first snow is around the corner. I have to admit, I really don’t mind the snow from after Thanksgiving, to the New year. But, once January 2nd hits… then I’m so over it. In the meantime, I’m going to continue spreading that holiday cheer! This week I’ll be heading out to Costco in hopes that I can get my hands on some live garland. They really have the best price, and quality in my opinion. I buy two 16 foot garlands, and use them to drape my s ..read more

To say I have a fireplace addiction might be a fair statement. But, I mean who doesn’t like a cozy place to gather. Here’s to another fireplace project, with our friends over at Modern Blaze! When we were building our semi custom home, we opted out of having the builders put in a gas fireplace. The price didn’t seem worth a builder grade fireplace. Therefore, we held off, and knew there would come a time, where we would DIY it. Modern Blaze Well, that time has come! And I couldn’t be happier to be partnering with Modern Blaze for a second fireplace project! If you’ve been around you know that ..read more

The office is done!! And let me tell you, it was a lot bigger of a project then I had expected. But, If I was doing this space, I was going all in. This room is the biggest disaster in the whole house, heck maybe even the biggest disaster on the block ;). Feeling overwhelmed with the mess, I knew it was time, and I ripped off the bandaid. Completely emptying this space, painting, new floors, organizing both closets, a desk built in, and more. Making this office everything I need without leaving my home! Paint My office is in the basement, so one of the first things I knew I wanted to ..read more

It’s been almost a month since we were on our vacation, and at the beach. And honestly, I miss it, the sand, the salty ocean, the smell. Most importantly, the feeling of not a care in the world. Soaking up sun, and the laughter of my babies. We have to make it more of a priority to get away to the beach more often. When we were planning our Road trip/Beach trip/ Disney trip, I did a lot of searching, the internet for the best of the best, accessories for our trip. You can read here about what I thought was great to have on our road trip. Now it’s time for me to share what I thought worked grea ..read more

Summer break is in full swing here. Those late nights, no schedule, S’mores and running the block! I’m not going to lie, I can’t deny the fact that this summer has been a bit busier. with the world going back to some type of normal things are moving fast!! Last summer, I had a lightbulb idea, literally… its always so dark by our swing set, and the side of our home. The kids had a hard time seeing and playing when the sun went down. It was impractical to run electric, or plug in any lights. Coming up with a design that was functional, and magical, without being messy. So, when I found solar str ..read more
