To highlight the 25th anniversary of the ensemble La Pietà, Ms. Christine St-Pierre, Official Opposition Critic for Culture and Communications, will present the National Assembly medal to its founder, Ms. Angèle Dubeau, on Tuesday, May 3.
In 1997, the internationally renowned violinist founded this string ensemble composed exclusively of women who are among the best musicians in Canada. Since then, in addition to recording numerous albums, La Pietà has performed on the most important stages in Asia, Europe, South America and the United States, at a rate of 50 to 60 concerts per year.
