Hi. I’ve swapped my 2010 NC 180 k 1.8 engine for a 85 k one from an 07 - using the original loom . The new engine is good and has excellent compression but I can’t get number 4 to fire . Have changed coils, plugs but no difference . I have just soldered on a new pigtail…going back some 30’to 40 cm…. Fondle test of looms changes nothing . The original loom is available and I am wondering what to do…. Is there anything else I can try before I buy and change the loom. Tearing my hair out as... I know there are lots of threads on this and the guide but thought I'd start a new one! I was driving the car this morning to get fuel ready for it's MOT tomorrow. The clutch bite point was about 2" off the floor. It's always been low but this is really low! When I got home I checked the fluid level. I admit I always forget to check the clutch fluid and it was below minimum. Topped it up and then I couldn't select gear at all until I pumped the clutch a few times. It drove around the block... I've had the car for 9 years and changed the rear pads shortly after getting it, they're around half worn. Last year is got an advisory for a poor handbrake, only just holding on the last click. I'm going to release the handbrake, slacken the cable, wind the adjusters in and then back off slightly before tightening the cable at the handbrake. Hi all, recently done a VVT swap and completely swapped the 1992 wiring to a VVT models as well as the dash etc, all running good and working other than the popup headlight motors, was wondering if anyone had any experience wiring these to a completely separate switch or there was guides out there as I can't find anything to help.
