Hello all,  Can anyone chime in on salary/compensation for IR PA. I am in Texas and about to interview for an IR position. I bring to the table 2.5 years of HemeOnc experience and 12 years (previous) of ultrasound tech experience. While it is not directly IR experience and I will require training, I feel that would be the case any time you change specialties. I worked in an Urgent Care Clinic for a few years and was able to challenge the Radiology Practical Technician (RPT).  This limited scope X-ray technician license is available in many States and was helpful in the Urgent Care Clinic for most common Chest xrays and extremities.  There are a lot of helpful study guides out there for the physics, positioning and anatomy.  Getting some “hands on” helps too!  Everything is digital today so learning to develop films is uncommon.
