Well I just did my pickles and grabbed the wrong package! I meant to use the Bread and Butter and used the Hot and Spicy! I ended up just using 2 oz of the mix, 2 cups vinegar, .5 cups water 1.5 cups sugar. Who knows? Need about another 1/4 cup liquid. I vacuum sealed and will put into fridge. I will go get more pickles now! I like using Allulose when I concerned about crystalizing but it only 70% as sweet as sugar so I been adding Monkfruit... Read more ..read more

With St. Pattys right around the corner Stop n Slop has cabbage for 17cents/lb, I have all the equipment (from my failed jalapeno ferment last fall) just looking for a decent recipe. I grow a variety of garden produce and all basically pesticide free. We bring the potatoes and carrots south with us for the winter. Carrots store amazingly well in the fridge, but I don't have decent storage for the taters. Last year at this time we had to chuck the last of the taters as the sprouts were past a foot long and the life drained from the tubers. Grapes = Jam last of this years harvest Well the grapes are ready, and I beat the crows and Raccoons to them. This was the best year for them. They must love a lot of water. Because that is what this year brought. The 10 apples, 4 pears , no plums and no cherrys , Nothing . Very bad year Early cold couple days after a very warm start.
