@moto_rph officially became a year older yesterday, and wanted to get a ride in before family festivities, so we met up at Warner Springs Gliderport, and ran Lost Valley ANd High point TT / Palomar divide. Bikes and riders were @moto_rph on his 500, Kyle on his 701, Justin on a 500, Myself on the 690, and @J5ive on his XR650L. The wife and I have a pair of Honda Ruckus' (Ruckai, IDK) that we "dual sport". We have done day trips only but are planning this weekend to venture out further on an overnight. Hoping Thomas Mtn. will be free of snow... probably not though. I camp up there often on the ADV bike to test gear and hoping to show her one of my favorite campsites. I have been wanting to spend a day on the bike with my granddaughter for a long time. Our schedules finally came together and she came down from Orange County for the weekend. So this morning we got up, bundled up and decided to look for a great spot to have lunch.  from La Mesa we went up wildcat Canyon. My low tire pressure warning was being extra annoying so I decided to run past Udo house in Ramona and say a quick hi while borrowing five psi of air. But, alas, no joy. Anza Borrego Desert State Park in January: It does not get any better.   45F when we showed up. Led to good conversation while we waited for the sun to expose itself over the ridge. Although we were late to follow last weeks rain, the moisture had soaked in, firming the base of the desert floor. The top couple of inches was dry. The plant life is showing color, although the Ocotillo has yet to bloom. Passed several 4 wheeled campers and explores on our 60 miles route. Typically, we see no one.
