How do I indicate that I am making a referral in the LFP Payment Model?
BC Family Doctors
by Rachel Mitchell
1y ago
A physician enrolled in the LFP Payment Model submits a referral to MSP by the same processes used in fee-for-service.  The referring physician either completes the “Referred to” field in a provided service claim (patient interaction code) or submits a 03333 if there is no associated service claim. The referral is required in order for the consultant to bill the consultation. More information can be found in the clarifications information created by the Consultation Working Group.
