Greetings all, I had recently sold my 2012 Honda Silverwing to a retired firefighter. He always wanted to ride, and he couldn't have bought a better bike! I just want to mention what a great time I had while owning my Silverwing. I took it on its final journey, a 2,420 mile ride in three days. If you have any concerns that the Silverwing is capable of long distant, highway speed Touring, I can assure you it can! This ride included the infamous "Tail of the Dragon", Cherohala Highway ..read more

It appears to me that belt prices have dropped a bit. I usually use Partzilla for mine but the price for OEM is nearly 190 USD. The last one I bought was $96 in 2014. Ouch. My Forza belt was around $160 last year. I only use Honda OEM belts for my scooters. I found this one on Amazon that claims to be a Honda belt for $137 USD. https://www.amazon.com/Honda-23100-MCT-003-Belt-Drive/dp/B00I87HR80 Also there are several Honda OEM belts on eBay for about the same price. Anyway this is ..read more

In one of my better senior moments I have somehow managed to buy not one but two sets of Dr Pulley sliders!!
They are the 26g set and have not been opened. I paid $60 US for them, plus shipping, import duty etc. At the current exchange rate that's $88 Cdn. I will ship them anywhere in Canada for $100 all in with a tracking number. I don't know what shipping in to the States would be but I could find out if someone is interested.

I read quite a few posts on the forum regarding rear shocks- at some point, I’ll likely get the YSS shocks (I suspect I’ll have to get them via eBay and have them shipped from either the UK or Europe). My SWing currently has just over 10K miles and now rides much better with the HyperPro springs up front- I read one post by John Grinsel indicating on 2 of his SWings, he never had to change the shocks in 100K miles of riding. I was considering replacing them not because mine are shot ..read more

My 70,000km 2001 Swing has had a noisy transmission since I bought it. I replaced the worn belt and rollers (Dr Pulley 26g, just to annoy Meldrew) but it still had a rattle or knock, especially at idle, I thought maybe it was belt slap but that was not the case. Annoyingly, with the cases opened, the belt and variator parts sounded sweet, but every time I put the cases back on, the noise re-appeared. I finally traced the noise to the bearing which is in the outer belt case, I could feel that ..read more

I am very happy with this 'bike' so far. For reference, check here: https://www.silverwing600.com/t13316-sold-2004-honda-silver-wing-for-sale-tastefully-modded-sold#135371 So far, I experimented with returning to the stock seat configuration, for at least cosmetic reasons. I took a short test ride and within 2 blocks my mind was made up: Reinstall the A.M. backrest! Loving it. Next, I removed the Delkevic pipe and reinstalled the stock "silencer". Oh how nice. I'm a happy camper ..read more
