I haven't been on in ages myself - but due to recent theft of my beloved yellow vespa I have had to go back to my ol' trust Beo 250ie.  The Leo Vince pipe I put on it has got a bad catalytic converter I think, it's been sitting for 3 years so this makes sense... but wondering if anyone had any thoughts about ways to fix the cat in the exhaust? I jerry rigged a mount to make the Leo Vince 4 Road from a Vespa GTS fit, but not really wanting to spend too much money on the Beo as it's got 40,000km on it and I'm not sure it's worth that much anymore. Hey there everyone who still checks this site occassionally.. The Piaggio X7 didn't find its market back in 2008 (although I bought one--and I still have it!), but for some reason, "Piaggio China", aka Zongshen, are bring it back for the Chinese domestic market, where I suspect it might do a lot better (although I've only seen "best seller" said on Chinese-language commercial bike sites) One write-up about the : https://www.insella.it/news/zongshen-ecco-lx7-di-piaggio-salsa-cinese-159122 It's totally legit and Pontedera-approved, and is about 90% identical to the original model. What's no-doub ..read more

Happy me went down with the scoot from the front wheel slipping on the wet road... I've done this twice now, which makes me an expert at it. There was suprisingly little damage... Some scuffing on the plastic body, and not very bad at that ("that'll just buff right out!"), and my left wrist getting a sprain from the right handlebar contacting the road (from the instinct to grip while falling--which got the left side got moving at 1000mph all of a sudden).. the only real drama was the UV-damaged windscreen deciding it was a good time to have a fracture, and it split up into three parts. Now.. t ..read more

I wonder - where is she now, and whether she still rides a scooter ? What a game girl . . . Anyone?   Cheers ..read more
