Got my SS 2 years ago. I merged my tax refund history from ITIN to SSN thru IRS appointment,. I contacted SSA and they don’t have a record of my past earnings. How can I merge my earnings to my SSN? SS customer service wasn’t of much help. Tia

Both my wife and I received 2 emails this morning, the first one stating "we have taken action on your case and it needs your attention" and the next one immediately saying "we have taken action on your case".
On our I-130 the status changed to 'case is being actively reviewed by USCIS' with today's timestamp. My I-485 also has the same which includes a blurb about nothing being outstanding, however right below that it has a yellow exclamation mark saying 'Review the Notice and respond with requested evidence by July 18, 2024.' The notice it links to is identical to the one I received in the ..read more

Hi! This is for a friend - what are the options for someone if their TPS expired (Venezuela) a couple months ago and the late re-registration period has already passed. They didn’t renew it because didn’t really know much about the process. I don’t think it’s a “good cause”

I filed my application through marriage on February 23rd, exactly 2 months ago. I received a notice from immigration stating that I won’t need biometrics, but that’s about it. What is everyone’s else current status ?

Hi! this is what we got (right now) about I130. It will be submitted online. Need advices about proof of marriage. We have marriage certificate and ceremony photos, travel photos, family photos, phone bills, she owns the apt so I pay rent to her (so no lease or contract) the two of us covered by car insurance [living in DC I have no car], bills and photos of remodeling floor and home purchases (bed, fridge), money transfer in between us (goods, side work). We don't have much to proof. Ideas? Is that enough?

Hi All,
I wanted to start off and say thank you to this community for the guidance and support. Below is my timeline of my arduous process.
*March 2022 PD
April 2023 Form -I 130 cleared
July 2023 - DQed for Tbilisi
April 2024- interview (Mumbai, passed by Gods grace and passport was picked up after a week)
After 7 months of waiting we came to find out Tbilisi is being lazy with processing so we transferred to Mumbai (wife is Indian citizen). It took a month and half to get an interview date.
Interview process in India was amazing and very professional.
Asked the standard questions, about 5-6 ..read more

Hi, I'm about to apply for Naturalization.
However, I just filed my taxes with my accountant this year and I forgot to inform him initially that I got married recently (Feb 2024) so he filed my taxes as "single"
After realizing this, I immediately informed him and asked him if we needed to amend my tax return. He said there's no need to amend since we are filing for 2023 and I got married in 2024. Is this correct?
I just want to make sure because I'm concerened that this might affect my Naturalization application.
Not sure if this is necessary but my spouse is a foriegner so he's not a US cit ..read more
