That’s my bets on for the PGA. Really can’t see past Brooks after his performance last week, although Scottie will be hard to beat, with the season he is having. Have done Cameron Smith and Joaquin Niemann each way as well!! I’ve read that Talor Gooch has an invite ..read more

Custom Fitting- The Evidence Base (VERY long post)

Didn't want to clog up another thread, so thought I'd rant here, and hopefully spark some respectful critical discussion. I just need to get this down so I can shut up. Yes, it's a long post. You don't have to read it. When it comes to Custom Fitting, my view is that there should be little scope for critical discussion. There should be an evidence base pointing towards, with some confidence, the impact of custom fitting on the short, medium and long term performance (scores) of consumers. I... Read more ..read more

PCC adjustment

Not sure whether there is an exact definition but should like clarification how it is calculated. There is 0.1 difference between slope and par at our Club. Difficult conditions on Saturday when 126 played in a medal. 4 players bettered par. Around 3% of the field. Would some of the more knowledgeable people on here be good enough to explain why there was no adjustment? Thank you ..read more

Ball holed in error

I hit a longish pitch to the green which was obviously close to the pin. Playing partner, John, did the same. When I got to the green I was delighted to see my ball 6 inches from the hole so I walked up and tapped it in for a four. Hang on said Alan, another player, your ball finished short of the hole and John's ball hit it and knocked it near the hole. I placed my ball where Alan said it was before being hit and, fortunately, sank it for a four again. The question then arose as to whether... Read more ..read more

Hi. I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a 2010 S3 and the trolley runs fine under no resistance but when on the course it only goes for 1-3 yards, the display goes mad with numbers and then stops and turns off. Motocaddy suggested a new motor which is now fitted but I still have the same problem. Any advice please. Cheers ..read more

I’ve got a faulty motor on my S1 Motocaddy. I’ve ordered a new one but it’s going to take a while to come. Does anyone know where to get the right brushes for the S1 200v motor? This might not cure the problem but I’d like to have a go. Thanks ..read more

Comfortably the best course I have played! The first hole is a fairly gentle par five, flat as a pancake yet the bunking and subtle mounding frames it perfectly. The second hole doesn’t have a single bunker yet the undulating fairway and approach is still brilliant. Stand on the third and you can see an infinity green in the distance bunkers speckling the fairway it is such a good sight. You walk over to the fourth tee and glance behind you. How can this course get any better, yet the holes... Read more ..read more
