Dailey enlisted in the Army in 1989 and attended basic training and advanced individual training as an 11B (infantryman) at Fort Benning, Georgia. Darren Hardy, an accomplished flautist and Northumbrian pipes player, has been a Yeoman Warder for the Tower of London since 2019. Prior to guarding the Tower, Darren was a musician with the 6RRF Band for almost a decade. During this period, Darren also spent time as an instrument repairer specializing in flute repairs, while also customizing instruments and teaching instrument maintenance to students.
