After two successful years,  the PRISM program is evolving into standalone programs at QMUNITY and the YWCA.  Those already on the waitlist to access the program will be contacted, and referred to continuing 2SLGBTQIA+ case managers at either QMUNITY or the YWCA.  This unique program was a partnership between QMUNITY and YWCA Metro Vancouver, and was launched to provide inclusive, trauma-informed services for individuals in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community seeking employment. Queer and Trans people have reported feeling more mentally prepared to enter the workforce when provided with accessible information on subjects like workers and trans rights. When people can make informed decisions, this can build capacity for self-advocacy and give people a feeling of agency.  Employers who offer sick days show a commitment to preventing burnout in the workplace.
