Scott, I thought the experience you told me about came through a dream that Jesus got your attention. I forgot after you told me until you got upset with me for not remembering that you said you had a personal encounter with Jesus. Midgiel,  I think the confusion was over the same point we are turning on now? I don't call the dream I had a "personal encounter" with Jesus apart from the personal encounter I had been having for years at Mass. Without recounting the details of this, I can say that it made things even more real. Sure. Hey, just three weeks ago I was riding my motorcycle and ..read more

And here you are doubling down on the things you could not find in the Catechism because it is heresy. Stop! Stephen, if you are going to post here you must post in concert with Church Teachings or admit you are not really Catholic. statistics: Posted by MartiW — 10:57 AM - 2 days ago ..read more

The Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our Faith, but it is considered a mystery because it's something that's beyond the full comprehension of the human mind. The word mystery comes from the Greek word mysterion, which means "a secret" or "a hidden thing to the human eye".   Jesus has revealed Himself to many throughout Christianity in the Holy Eucharist, just as He did in 2018 in India: O Lord, show us Thy Face, and we shall be saved! - Psalm 80:19 God bless you statistics: Posted by MidgieI952 — 8 minutes ago ..read more

"Distractions are waiting at your front door to quickly take control of your thoughts."  How true!  I've let the Karen Read Trial take control of my thoughts....and the Russian warships that are expected to soon arrive in Cuba!   These videos are such a blessing to me. They draw my attention back to Jesus and His Word instead of gawking at all the evil going on in the world, which I find shocking.  iframe statistics: Posted by MidgieI952 — 7:29 AM - Today ..read more

My favorite Pope, too!  I consider him my spiritual father in the faith, even though I was a practicing Catholic for many years before attending his Mass at the Boston Common in 1979.  I've watched all the movies about his life and read all his books and many books about him.   It's funny, but one thing stuck in my mind from this movie with Albert Finney that I captured to video: iframe "Great events taking place that can give to them or steal all they possess, and they don't even know it's happening. Well, I attended the wedding ceremony in the OP this past Saturday. It was a beautiful ceremony held at a cousin's house on the shore.  The day was gorgeous for an outdoor ceremony on their ocean balcony. The cousin who officiated the ceremony did a beautiful job, and the Bride and Groom wrote beautiful, loving vows to one another. It was all so perfect on the surface, but God was not mentioned even once.    These are all baptized Catholics who were raised in the Church.  Now, they have no need of the Church, Priests, or God Himself? As I sat there listening to the ce ..read more
