If you are among the recent purchasers of the retired tooling, we would like to offer you a free one year subscription for Flyway Teams in exchange for providing your feedback.   Why we’re making this change  Our research has shown that many of our customers use our comparison tools to deploy changes from a development environment to production. I want to select the rows from the range x to y in a MyISAM table. The table description is CREATE TABLE table_name (column_1 varchar(255) NOT NULL, column_2 varchar(255) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (column_1,column_2)) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=ascii; For example, I need to select rows from 100000000 to 100001000. I tried using limit with offset but it became too slow after a certain number of rows. How can it be achieved? Could you guys please help? I tried using limit with offset but it became too slow after a certain number of rows. When the offset was set up to 100 million the query takes m ..read more

What ssh key format is required?

I am evaluating MySQL Compare and I am trying to connect to two separate database servers over ssh using public/private key pair. When I try to do the compare, I get an error message   Cannot connect to server on HOSTNAME:   Wrong Key Format. What key format is this application looking for? In the browse dialog window to select the key it's looking for files with a ".key" extension. The private key I create using the Windows 11 Pro ssh-keygen program doesn't have any extension (i.e. id_rsa). I have also tried using Putty's putty-keygen to convert the private key to a ".ppk" format ..read more

Unknown pluging 'caching_sha2_password' with MySQL 8.0

This has been asked already a while ago. Did anyone find a solution? I've tried with a user defined as 'mysql_native_password' but with the same result. I have also checked Devarts forum and they had indeed a problem reported. So that probably means that in 'MySQL compare' an old library has been used not supporting MySQL 8.0 correctly. I've also tried to get direct support but this product is only supported via the forum. Does look to me that this tool has not a very high prio ..read more

Will MySQL Compare be updated to connect to MySQL 8.0?

This is the issue that happens when I try to compare two databases using MySQL 8.0.  Will there be support for MySQL Version as 8.0.  Version 8.0 has been out since 2018.  Also, the MySQL requirements section on the Redgate website states that MySQL Compare only supports 5.0 or less. (https://www.red-gate.com/products/mysql/mysql-comparison-bundle/). If there is not going to be any support for 8.0, then I and many others would like to know this so we can go find other products to use. Thank you and God bless, Ben ..read more
