How to batch change Capture Date?

As a result of importing and combining a whole bunch of various archives, I have a lot of images with incorrect Capture Dates. What's the best way to change these via a batch method? Not sure if this is done in Lightroom, Windows File Explorer, or another utility? For example, photos definitely taken in 2010 are showing up as Capture Date 2020-05-06, or similar errors. Also have images showing a Capture Date of 2006-07-15 (likely the date they were first imported) that were taken at many... Read more ..read more

Hello all, My work is mostly about scanning and restoring old photos from various periodicals. When it comes to caucasian models/people we have several overtones/undertones (not sure which adjective applies here), it can be neutral, warm, cold, olive, etc. Suppose I scan a photos with a terrible white balance. I can certainly correct that, but it feels to me like the more I restore, and the more my work leans toward neutral tone. I sure would prefer to restore the original tone of the... A little help with color

first of all: English is not my language. Sorry for any mistakes. So. I take photos and work on them amateurishly. It's a hobby. Usually B&W or full of dark shadows and a single direct light source. But I also take others in order to draw on the photos. Sooooo.... the help I need from you is precisely to facilitate my digital painting process. I want to work on the photo in Lightroom and make it a shade of color, and I can't get that result. At the end of the text, I'm... Read more ..read more

Export as CMYK

It's 2024. I need to export photos in CMYK because not all printing facilities want to take the responsibility for color management (Amazon KDP is one of them). Lightroom still cannot export to CMYK. Lightroom still cannot export to CMYK. Lightroom still cannot export to CMYK. So, one unnecessary extra step is necessary to build a PS action to re-color all images. How non-ergonomic... Artificial white clipping point on histogram

Hi, I've noticed that on some (generally older) images I work with, I'm seeing the histogram "max out" at a white point that is not all the way to the full dynamic/histogram range. I'm wondering why, and if/how I should adjust editing processes for these images. The latter, ultimately, is most important! I may be using the term "white point" here incorrectly. But, basically, I'm referring to a right edge on the histogram. It's not just happening with the histogram on import for the... Read more ..read more
