Scoot McNairy is one of those actors you just recognize. In a career spanning the large of Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, to Best Picture winners Argo and 12 Years a Slave, McNairy now stars in Blood for Dust. Dirrected by Rod Blackhurst, McNairy stars as a down-on-his-luck salesman who gets roped into drug and gun smuggling by his shady friend Ricky (Kit Harrington).
I had the pleasure of interviewing McNairy. We talked about his role in the film, his appeal to darker roles, not looking in the past at his career, and getting recognized in Home Depot.

After reading the Challengers synopsis, I was expecting a movie about tennis. The film’s synopsis is “Tashi, a tennis player turned coach, has transformed her husband from a mediocre player into a world-famous grand slam champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a challenger event – close to the lowest level of the tournament on the pro tour. Tensions soon run high when he finds himself standing across the net from the once-promising, now-burnt-out Patrick, his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend.” Sounds like a tennis movie, right ..read more

My reaction to another nun-inspired horror film was, initially I thought, one not worth mentioning. However, concerning Sydney Sweeney’s pop culture imprint and my following her career from the early days, I thought it only right to give it a try. This is despite my usual ignorance of the nunsploitation of horror. Surprisingly, I wasn’t disappointed! Immaculate, while obviously named, somewhat predictable, and lacking any substantial character development, kept me hooked and genuinely on the edge of my seat. While the crossover of a Sydney Sweeney and violent gore fan may not be t ..read more
