Need help. I have to replace my blower motor resistor on my 2009 Ford Escape XLT. I cannot pull the connector off of the resistor. Is there a magic move I have to do? I have squeezed it from all side and still cannot pull it off. Can you pry it off or is there some kind of tab or catch holding it. My blower works on 3 and 4 setting but not on 1 or2. I have seen the instructions here for removing the resistor but it just says remove electrical connector to get to the 2 screws holding the...

I was told that I would need to do a reset on the climate control system. I found that there are different ways to do this on the Ford Escapes, but I cannot find the correct way to do this on the 2020 model. Could someone tell me how?
On the earlier years for the Escapes, you were told to turn the key on to the ACC position, then press and hold the heat on/off button as well as the defrost button. The system will go through a certain sequence of fan speeds before the system is reset. This...

Last December, at the start of a six hour trip in -25C conditions, my 98 Taurus decided to stop making heat. Not such a great rip and plety of scraping frost on the inside of the glass. The car has been in our family for 20+ years and has never had an issue with making heat. With winter approaching again, I need to make time to address the situation. The car now has 260,000 km ( ~160,000 miles). In the summer I flushed the heater core. The heater core was not plugged, flushing water flowed...

My daughter has a 2004 Ford escape. AC blower motor recently quit working. We replace blower motor, resistor, cabin air filter. Blows now but very little air is coming through vents although the blower motor seems to be pushing a lot of air.

2000 Windstar SEL 3.8
When I first bought this van, we put in a variable orifice to account for our extremely hot weather in Phoenix. After we put it in, I would get a groaning sound. I got used to it.
Fast forward to this month. Had to replace the alternator so we thought we would deal with the moaning in the orifice. We went to remove it, and CAN NOT find it! We don't now where it went. So we put in the OEM one and the groaning and moaning is even louder than before. So much that I can...
