One of our favorite traditions as Moms is back-to-school clothing shopping. But recently, we’ve been trying to invest in a few well-made, classic, but still fun and colorful pieces our kids will want to wear again and again. Also, we want them to be durable enough that they can be handed down to siblings and cousins. Hatley is our go-to brand, for all of these reasons! They make clothes that kids want to wear (in fun prints like sharks, dynos, and unicorns!) that parents also love (aka a break from goofy character graphics…).

Life isn’t easy, and as parents, one of our biggest priorities is to raise kids that can bounce back from disappointments big and small. From toddlers to teenagers, how can we build resilience in our kids—so they can pick themselves up when we aren’t there to do it? To answer this question, we spoke to developmental psychologist Aliza Pressman, host of the Raising Good Humans podcast, which has recently featured women like Jessica Alba, Eve Rodsky, Dr. Samantha Boardman and others. “If you can’t bounce back in the face of a challenge, your life becomes so much less meaningful and harder ..read more

If you’re looking for formula or know someone who is and are trying to help, it can be *extremely* frustrating–even devastating—coming up short. Across the country, moms are finding empty shelves instead of the food their baby’s need. Unfortunately, at-risk families who may not have resources like unlimited gas money to search store-by-store, or stock up on a few months worth of cans once they find a full shelf, are most vulnerable. Here are some ways you can find formula, despite the shortage:

Trying to change up your Taco Tuesday routine? Try these salmon tacos from Elizabeth Lim, the mom behind The Beach Cities Moms. Before having her 15-month-old daughter Sailor, Elizabeth ran a meal delivery business throughout Los Angeles. “Salmon has become a weekly meal in my house due to the affinity that my daughter has developed for it. I am on board with that since salmon is low in mercury and high in omega-3s that are so valuable for brain development. This glaze is so simple and gives the salmon a major boost of flavor. The avocado aioli adds that special something that will leave ..read more

Water Shoes
These type of shoes may not come to mind, but they are absolutely necessary. They not only protect feet from glass and sharp objects while in the water they also have a secure grip on slippery surfaces which can help prevent additional injuries.
Flip Flops
These are crucial. Your child should be wearing flip flops to and from–and in–the shower to protect them from what it is lurking on the communal bathroom and shower floors. Wearing these will prevent unwanted “visitors” att ..read more

If you’re traveling this winter, you might be dreading the part where you tote your tired and bored kids on long stretches through planes, trains and automobiles. To get some tried and true advice, we turned to two people who are more experienced at traveling with a child than anyone else we know, Madison Elizabeth Cornelis and her husband Cees of the gorgeous and inspiring site, Our Vie.
In 2014, they got engaged in Yosemite National Park, and in 2016, decided to celebrate the 100thbirthday of our National Parks system by visiting all 59 of them. It took a year and a half, and along the way ..read more

The name Lauren Bush Lauren incorporates two distinct, all-American Dynasties—the (George H.W. and George W.) Bush political one and the (Ralph) Lauren fashion one.
