Ululau Ama received the Taumafaiga Award on Saturday 2nd December from Tōfā mamao.
Tōfā mamao is a grassroots collective of tagata sa’ilimalo (Pacific disabled people, their families/nofo-a-kainga, and carers/supporters/tautua soifua in Aotearoa). As a proudly independent national non-profit led entirely by tagata sa’ilimalo, Tōfā mamao plays a unique role in advancing the voice of lived experience from a Pacific and collectivist worldview.
Tōfā mamao means navigating the future guided by the past.

Inspired by Beethoven and the night sky, Māpura artist Matthew Tucker has created a masterpiece - ???????? ?? ?????.
As you make your way along Te Ara I Whiti - The Lightpath between dusk and dawn - from 25 November until 10 December - you’ll witness Matthew’s music-meets-mathematics artwork.
This work is a sensory symphony in recognition of the International Day of People with Disabilities on 3 December.

Sarah Holten received the Te Tohu Iho Pūmanawa award for her remarkable mixed-media artistry.
Holten, an artist of Ngāti Maniapoto and Tūwharetoa descent, passed away shortly before she was to receive Te Tohu Iho Pūmanawa and was celebrated posthumously at Te Waka Toi Awards.
Lisa Holten, her mother, accepted the award on her behalf.
"Sarah's journey from a simple pastime to becoming the artist she was always meant to be has been nothing short of inspiring," she said.

Spectrum Foundation have granted us funding for $30,000 to Panacea Arts Charitable Trust to assist out Art Therapy Programmes for children, teenagers and young adults.
These are the Creative Art Therapy classes: for Kids, on a Tuesday at 4 - 5.30pm, for Teens at 4 - 5.30pm on Thursdays and for Young Adults at 6 - 7.30pm on Thursdays.
