The Spirit in the Old Testament

The Spirit In the Old Testament I would like to start a discussion on the presence of the Spirit in the OT. To be clear, I am not referring to the “Spirit of Christ” (Rom 8:9, 1Pet 1:11) that was sent by Jesus Christ upon his resurrection (John 14:16, 26, 15:26), that is the “helper” (ESV), the “comforter” (KJV), the “advocate” (NIV). I am referring to the Spirit 'among' and 'within' the Jewish people in the OT. The Spirit both “among” and “within” the Jewish people in general and in... Read more ..read more

Aliens in the Bible?

Here is a verse that may answer what some of these so called aliens are. They are in fact devils or at least the spirit in them is a deal. consider "13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God... Deuteronomy 19:14 You shall not remove your neighbor’s landmark, which the men of old have set, in your inheritance which you will inherit in the land that the Lord your God is giving you to possess. ******************************************************************************** People often think of the Lord's Covenant with Israel as a Promised Land they would continue to possess as long as they were faithful to His Law. However, the content of that Law is heavily... Read more ..read more

Sins which Spoil Christian Brotherhood and Civil Neighbourhood. (From John Bunyan's "Christian Behavior" 1674) Now then, before I go any farther, I will here take an occasion to touch a little upon those sins that are so rife in many professors in this day: and they are, covetousness, pride, and uncleanness. I would speak a word to them in this place, the rather because they are they which spoil both Christian brotherhood, and civil neighbourhood, in too great... Read more ..read more

From A.W. Pink's "Eternal Punishment" The Destiny of the Wicked There is deep need for us to approach this solemn subject impartially and dispassionately. Let writer and reader cry earnestly to God that all prejudices and preconceptions may be removed from our minds. It ill becomes us to sit at the feet of Infinite Wisdom determined to hold fast to our foregone conclusions! Nothing can be more insulting to God... Read more ..read more

The real presence of the Lord, Jesus Christ, in holy communion.

I believe that all of the ancient churches accept and teach the real presence of the Lord, Jesus Christ, in holy communion. Catholics believe and teach that the elements of bread & wine are changed during the Eucharistic Prayer. The change is called transubstantiation among Catholics. John Paul II wrote an encyclical entitled "ECCLESIA DE EUCHARISTIA", available here Ecclesia de Eucharistia (17 April 2003) | John Paul II, in which is written: 15. The sacramental... Read more ..read more

What Does The Existence of Sin Teach Us About God's Character?

Assumption #1: God knows all things past, present, and future; therefore, God knew that sin would exist even before the creation of Lucifer. Assumption #2: God is love Points to consider God does not desire companion bots that love him instinctually. God does not desire a choiceless "love." God had reasons for proceeding with creation, even though He knew it would result in sin and suffering. Since God is love, what does the existence of sin teach us about God's nature and... Seeing : Salvation

Reader, When a person hears the "Gospel", as, "faith comes by hearing" ... then this faith is proof something happened in the heart of the Believer that God SEES... as "God sees the heart" And what is that, that God sees that has happened inside you? God sees your "repentance" ....that is of the kind that God accepts, and that is not repenting from sin....but its repenting from UNBELIEF. See, God is not looking for people who are willing to "clean up"... as = ""Jesus came into the world... Read more ..read more

"Fire Insurance" Salvation?

Fire Insurance: aka, Get Out of Hell Free Card. A one time profession will seal you no matter what you do or how you live afterwards. Is it realistic? Fire Insurance basically is getting saved once, and you can go out and live however you want; you'll still be saved, but you won't be happy and you won't get any rewards. This theory falls back on Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the... Read more ..read more
