Since I was 14, and picked up my first disposable film camera - I’ve been taking a film camera with me on my travels. 6 different film cameras later, I’ve found that there is something truly special about capturing my travel adventures on 35mm. It can get really overwhelming when I’m travelling to feel the need to capture every moment, cool building or fun person I meet. Then follow this up by making content like tiktoks, reels or youtube videos. Of course, to me making content is fun, but I also find it overwhelming at times! Therefore, shooting on film allows me to feel more relaxed about do ..read more

Back in April on a gloomy autumn’s day, I had the pleasure of photographing and interviewing the lovely Sofia Kalogeropoulou. Sofia is a senior teaching fellow at Otago University (Te Whare Wānanga o Ōtākou) and currently teaches several dance papers. Originally hailing from Greece, Sofia has travelled wide and far, with a long-spanning career in teaching that has led her to settle in the beautiful city of Ōtepoti (Dunedin). The following is a curation of our conversation accompanied with some portraits of Sofia set in the stunning Marama Hall - home of the performing arts at Otago University ..read more

Last (NZ) summer I went on a 6 week adventure with my older brother through America and Canada! It was so much fun (albeit cold). Here are some photos from my wee point and shoot camera and five rolls of film (that I desperately prayed wouldn’t get ruined in the US airport security scanners). Sadly the flash refused to go off on the camera so a lot of good shots were sadly very underexposed and no amount of editing could fix it haha. All the below photos are unedited, straight from the develop and scan (courtesy of Joel Lawrence - thank you!!) Hope you like this little round up of a very cold ..read more
