An easy friday night out for a casual dinner with friends, while the weather starts to cool off, as we start to welcome Autumn back into our cosy-loving arms. The star of this look, I feel, are those beautiful blue wide leg jeans, that are comfortably snug around the waist and hip area, while widening all the way down (not flair). Perfect length. Perfect softness. A pretty blue colour, and soft to the touch. And definitely makes me feel comfy in my own skin, as I navigate my new found curves. These Jeans are from my fave H&M and you can find em here. (Style is called, “Wide high jeans ..read more

Never in my Christmas loving life did i think I’d be the one to start decorating the bathroom for Christmas…BUT HERE WE ARE! I guess, given my Christmas freak status, it was inevitable. All pieces used listed below, and my advice to you is RUN, dont walk. The stock seemed limited and we almost NEVER get these kinda pieces for the holidays here in SA, let alone for that price. I dang near shrieked when I spotted these Nutcracker pieces in store, because I know I’ve been hunting for years locally just for one of stores to stock SOMETHING like it! Granted, in my bathroom are just a few touches ..read more

Halloween decorating has officially kicked off in our home and i couldn’t be happier! This little table setting is definitely one of my faves with these adorable ghosts that I’ve been wanting to make since last year. They’ve been on my radar for longer than that (thanknyou, pinterest!), but I finally bought the cheesecloth last October (already!). However, I ran out of time. But, figured they’d be my first port of call when this season kicks off. And so it was!I made a few test drives back in August and knew i was gonna share them with you. It looks like cheesecloth ghosts are a viral hut on ..read more

Gifts for the tweens or older kids, I find are starting to straddle the line of easy gifting and really, really hard gifting. Because a) quite a few of the top toy trends are still very likely enjoyed by the tweens, but they are also expanding their interests to expand into their very unique likes and more teen-esque interests. So if you’re looking for some ideas, I got you. These are taken both from top trends as shared with me by the toys research experts within Toys R Us and my own tweens who make no bones about what they’d love Santa to put under their tree. Hopefully this will help you ..read more

Will this be the year I do my shopping early? Probably not – why would I want to pass up on that rush of adrenaline that surges through my body as I remember on Christmas eve morning that Santa is yet to scratch off a few names from his list. Jokes. (ps. I wrote this post in late NOvember, so either I know myself well, or Im like a mini Nostrodamus who predicted by 11th hour approach to Christmas shopping…again! So just go with the following narrative, ok? hmmk) Whilst I used to love the rush (and the bustle) of December shopping, now as a mama of many I feel like there’s just a lot more goin ..read more
