Kevin was born with cerebral palsy which is a group of lifelong conditions that affect movement and co-ordination. Kevin didn't let his disability stop him from pursuing his passions as a kid and played high school football along with many other sports! Kevin was born with Spina bifida which is a birth defect that occurs when the spine and spinal cord don't form properly. Kev never let that hold him back and played and competed at able bodied basketball at a young age. Lera was born in Russia with arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, a severe condition that affects joints in her legs. She was adopted and moved to the US at nearly two years old, where she used forearm crutches as her main form of mobility. When she grew into her teenage years, she had been told life would get harder in the future, with mobility getting more restrictive for her.
