Bangkok! We had a family trip last December and it was my kids’ first time. Here are some of our favorite things from our visit. Disclaimer: Right off the bat, I need to give you a heads up; when I say “with kids” I don’t mean we had a kid-centric trip. In fact, aside from the occassional Disneyland visits or playgrounds, we don’t really arrange our trip itineraries according to the kids. They follow what we want to visit (be it museums, historical sites or even shopping). So if you’re looking for suggestions like kiddie play areas or theme parks, sorry there are none on this list. Sheena Loves Sunsets
by Sheena Sy Gonzales

It’s our second time to travel in Shanghai with kids. We still did a lot of same-same things from 2019 (like Disneyland, of course, and Toy Story Hotel) but also a bunch of new ones! Here’s a rundown of what we did and the places we recommend! — VPN E-SIM FOR CHINA But wait, before we begin, I’d like to start the article by sharing with you the e-sim we chose. Picking an e-sim for China is tricky because you have to make sure they can bypass China’s great firewall for all your usual apps to work (Google, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) After a lot of research, we decided to try Saily and I’m happy ..read more

It’s my 2nd time teaching Kindergarten and I have to say, it’s probably my favorite year to teach! You might notice that this year’s picks look a little different from when I did it 4 years ago with my eldest. This is intentional. I did it because they are both different persons with very different strengths, interests and skills. My eldest, for example, did a lot of independent reading at this stage. We also focused on a lot of history and biographies because he was so interested in these! My youngest on the other hand, is very good with crafts. He loves to make his own toys ou ..read more

We spent three full days in Hanoi, Vietnam and I’m sharing with you our itinerary. But because we mostly just ate and ate during our Hanoi trip, don’t be surprised if it’s basically just a list of all the places we ate at. ? Day 1: Lunch at Tam Vi Hanoi has three restaurants with Michelin stars and Tam Vi is one of them. It’s also the most affordable one. Tam Vi is a one Michelin star restaurant and we were not disappointed. Make sure to book a reservation. I booked mine via their Facebook page. We booked for 6 persons and was pleasantly surprised to be seated inside a private dining ..read more

Homeschooling definitely has its pros and cons, no doubt about it. And it’s a good idea to learn and have a big picture of what exactly homeschooling entails before diving in. As a homeschooling mom for more than 5 years (and going,) here are some things I would advice parents to consider as you pray about homeschooling your children. Understanding Your “Why’s” and Goals Why are you homeschooling? What are your goals? Make sure you know clearly what your reasons are. Knowing your why’s will allow you to choose better when deciding which method to follow, which provider to partner with and ..read more

As much as you may love the journey and experience of motherhood, you may have also missed the passions and interests that you were involved in before you started a family.
