A pair of Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) helicopters were lost in an accident after the two helicopters collided in mid-air during aerial rehearsals for the upcoming 90th anniversary of the RMN. A Leonardo AW139 Maritime Operations Helicopter (MOH) from the 503rd Squadron collided with a Eurocopter AS555 Fennec helicopter from the 502nd Squadron during a flypast where several more RMN helicopters were airborne alongside the ill-fated duo of helicopters. Singapore has launched its fourth Invincible-class submarine in a ceremony at thyssenkrupp Marine Systems’ (tkMS) shipyard in Kiel, Germany on April 22. Named the Inimitable, it is the fourth and final vessel in its class for the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). The Republic of Singapore Air Force has attained Full Operational Capability (FOC) status for its fleet of Airbus H225M and Boeing CH-47F helicopter. Hot off the purchase of a pair of Italian Fincantieri warships, Indonesia inked another major deal with France’s state-owned Naval Group for the purchase of two Scorpene Evolved diesel-electric attack submarines. Brazil’s newest submarine Tonelero, will soon start sea trials before its scheduled delivery to the country’s navy.
