A pair of Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) helicopters were lost in an accident after the two helicopters collided in mid-air during aerial rehearsals for the upcoming 90th anniversary of the RMN. A Leonardo AW139 Maritime Operations Helicopter (MOH) from the 503rd Squadron collided with a Eurocopter AS555 Fennec helicopter from the 502nd Squadron during a flypast where several more RMN helicopters were airborne alongside the ill-fated duo of helicopters. Singapore has launched its fourth Invincible-class submarine in a ceremony at thyssenkrupp Marine Systems’ (tkMS) shipyard in Kiel, Germany on April 22. Hot off the purchase of a pair of Italian Fincantieri warships, Indonesia inked another major deal with France’s state-owned Naval Group for the purchase of two Scorpene Evolved diesel-electric attack submarines.
