Anyone ever go striper fishing with a kayak from the Weldon Boat ramp on the Roanoke River ? From what I've read, up stream is where the rapids are and down stream is more calm. Could you launch from the ramp and go down stream a bit and tie off and fish if the flows are minimal ? How far upstream could you paddle before encountering fast water ?
