With 4kg line you would only be using 1-1.5kg drag not 2-3kg. Statistics: Posted by happyas — Sat Jul 20, 2024 8:28 am — Replies 5 — Views 173 ..read more

I reckon I need a bigger yak. One you can load animals on two by two. Statistics: Posted by happyas — Tue Jul 16, 2024 12:31 pm — Replies 2 — Views 11 ..read more

Wow! With all the rain we are having this week, I reckon my yak is going to self launch from under the house. The little local creek 2 houses away is a roaring torrent at the moment. The yak is on a raised platform, but I don't think that is going to help. AND I live on the side of a hill. It has not stopped for well over 24 hours. The backyard is like jelly. G'day Mitch, Welcome back mate, if would be fantastic to do a catch up with the OG's and new members one of these days. Perhaps we could do a Lang Lang trip and land at Scuttlebutts stronghold. Good luck with the hunt for your Hobie mate, keep us posted. Statistics: Posted by Widsa — Tue Jun 25, 2024 6:57 am — Replies 1 — Views 11 ..read more

Thanks for the confirmation Westy. I thought there was E.P. in those mangrove areas. I have heard of a few. Launching area would be the critical thing along with the tide. Statistics: Posted by happyas — Sat Jun 22, 2024 12:58 pm — Replies 10 — Views 83 ..read more

Nice trip Larry glad you had a great time. yes the mangroves in WP have EPs, more than you would think. Coming back down from a whiting trip, noticed some bust ups in shallow at Warneet, just happened to have a Bent minnow lure and cast into the mangroves and bang EP. has become a regular thing, summer seems the best time, must be the warmer water, and Devils Bend down at Moorooduc is starting to produce some fine fish too.
