Start saving for your tickets! Multi-platinum Grammy award-winning rock band Imagine Dragons announced the dates for the South African leg of their ‘Mercury World Tour‘ on Wednesday morning.
Three of their best-known hits, Believer, Thunder, and Radioactive are the top three songs on Billboard’s Top 10 Rock songs of the 2010s.
One of the band’s most recent songs – Enemy – topped the Alternative Radio chart for the past seven weeks and is rapidly ascending Top 40 radio (#10) and Hot AC (#9).

YouTube has removed a viral music video in India released posthumously by murdered Sikh rapper Sidhu Moose Wala following a complaint by the government.
The song “SYL” talks about the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal which has been at the centre of a long-running water dispute between the late Sikh rapper’s home state of Punjab and neighbouring Haryana.

Known for keeping South Africans on their feet for the past three years, Scorpion Kings duo DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small finally announced their return for a big concert.

Some of the biggest viral hits on TikTok have been given the full orchestral treatment and will get a traditional release on CD and vinyl this summer, the platform announced Friday.
The tie-up with Warner Classics is the first time TikTok has ventured into the traditional music market and will see the 18 songs released on streaming platforms as well as in record stores.

It’s new music Friday and Makhadzi has released the full version of her TikTok hit song MaGear. However, a Malawian artist has claimed she stole the song from him.
Scrafoc claims his song, released in June 2021 sounds very similar to Makhadzi’s own track with the same name. His music video has about 23,000 views and Makhadzi’s version has thousands of dance challenges on TiKTok with millions of views.
Makhadzi is accused of stealing Scrafoc's song.

South Africans woke up to the news on Thursday morning that mask wearing is a thing of the past, as Health Minister Joe Phaahla repealed all Covid-19 regulations late on Wednesday evening.
This not only means that South Africans are no longer required to wear masks anywhere – whether it be indoors or outdoors, but also that the limitations on gatherings have been lifted.
