This Easter week, without being able to leave Madrid, has been very satisfying, in fact I think I have taken the opportunity to enjoy nature and culture.  Here are three tips for you to enjoy them too:  - Nature: I discovered the route of the Trofas stream and Peñascales reservoir in Torredolones, a route of 1.6 km ideal to do with small children (I did it with my little 4 year old), you can see the reservoir, and small streams along the way as well as huge stones forming almost magical structures. Ideal for a picnic and only 30 minutes drive from the city centre.  - Cul ..read more

MORE AMAZING STREET FOOD IN MADRID: TRIPEA
My Little Madrid

heaven I firmly believe that in the city's traditional markets you can find the best gastronomic and most daring offer in the city. That is to say, they may not have ironed linen tablecloths, uniformed waiters, or a neat décor, but clearly their food and their bets take you to seventh heaven, gastronomically speaking of course. It happened to me a few months ago with Doppelganger in Mercado de Antón Martín and it has happened to me again with Tripea in Mercado de Vallehermoso. A stand where I ate on Sunday and today, Monday, I dream of going back. Tripea has been open since 2017 in M ..read more

The night of the 3 Magic kings has arrived and with it, the Spanish tradition of the Roscón de Reyes which is traditionally eaten the night before at an afternoon snack or on January 6th at breakfast and at  family and/or friends tea time. Previous moment before the concert Madrid is full of wonderful secrets, today it is the turn of an oasis of nature and music in the middle of the city. I am talking about the Olivar de Castillejo, a magical place near the busy Alberto Alcocer Street. In this olive grove, it seems that Napoleon himself slept with his troops during the War of Independence. Cute terrace to grab a drink before concert It is now a Foundation created by the descendants of the original owner, José de Castillejo who was a naturalist and intellectual. And thanks to him, we can enjoy his programme o ..read more
