Mum Feteer @mum.feteer is a halal Egyptian restaurant serving classic Egyptian cuisine in Astoria, Queens. Feteer, a flaky Egyptian layered pastry, which can be either savory or sweet, is the highlight of this restaurant.

We originally wanted to order macaroni bechamel but sadly they didn’t have it when we were there - so def going to order it next time! Zooba is a fast-casual restaurant focusing on Egyptian street food located in the Nolita area. They’ve been open for some time but now they are fully halal.

We got the Spicy Hawawshi, Cheese Hawawshi, Koshari, Dukka Fries, Mint Limeade and Hibiscus Limeade. The Hawawshi’s were are pita bread stuffed with meat and other items.
