Thank you for joining me today here at Invisible Avenues. I appreciate you joining me, I do thank you.     I have some thoughts to share with you on my journey, then I will tie them into journaling.    The weather here in our space is changing gradually into spring. However, winter's breath is still lingering in the wind at times.    Things are gradually getting back to this side of normal; something, sometimes. There is a routine in the morning; my poodle awaits me to turn of the butterfly lamp, the fireplace lamp then the two small side lamps on eac ..read more

Exquisite Reminders to Hold
Invisible Avenues

Thank you for joining me today for this edition of Invisible Avenues. I appreciate you.      The challenges of the last few weeks could easily be seen as an acceptable excuse for not writing, engaging at that level. However, the truth of the matter is, it came down to one moment a few moments ago.  Years back, my darling husband bought me a beautiful journal with a stunning carved leather jacket on it. The flowers are so real when you move your fingers across them it is like an eternal bouquet of flowers that are a reminder of loves tender furry. The furry tha ..read more

Greetings, my beloved Invisible Avenues family. I come to you with a heavy heart. My wonderful husband, my best friend, my editor, my hero, graduated to the arms of his beautiful Savior on January 24, just after 6 in the morning after a courageous battle with cancer.      I am needing to take a break, catch my breath. When you go through something like our journey, my journey you do not nor can you process. I have learned in life, especially the last few months you walk through then process later. That may not make sense to you, but this has been me. We all get thr ..read more

The Beauty of The For Now
Invisible Avenues

Hello everyone! I am thankful to see you back here on Invisible Avenues with me today. You can see our background has changed. I felt to focus on hope and to me the old lantern on the beach spoke to my heart. The atmosphere has definitely changed a bit here in our space. The path leading in is now covered with a blanket of white snow. I have scattered along the path, several lanterns that have a vintage look to them. I love the soft appeal along the path, I remember stories I would read about people who actually had the job at dusk to go around and light these lanterns. Then ..read more

Thank you everyone for joining me for this edition of Invisible Avenues. You may have noticed, as you entered the path to the space, some changes. The path that was once lined with leaves scattered, barely noticeable have now been replaced with snow. There are of course, trees still visible in the distance; however, the cloud bank that has floated in has obscured the view somewhat. I see you have found a nice mug of hot chocolate and a nice soft donut for the time we spend together today.     Winter often comes on softly. The leaves are gone from the trees and ther ..read more

Thankfulness First
Invisible Avenues
by Kate McCormick

Good morning and thank you for joining me for this week's edition of Invisible Avenues. Today I will be brief as in my home country it is a holiday for most. It is a time for thankfulness. However, my thoughts are with loved ones who find an empty place at their table this year. So, with that in mind I am going to keep this short and simple.       There are certain traditions that speak thankfulness first. I reflected on the fact earlier in this blog that until a thank you card was in the mailbox; I was not allowed to enjoy any gifts that came into our ..read more

Different Train, Same Stop
Invisible Avenues

Welcome to this weekly edition of Invisible Avenues. I am so thankful that you, yes you came along today for our journey. The leaves crackle under our feet now as we head into our space. The path has been well cared for; so the only ones that remain are remnants of the leaves that have held on to the branches the longest. It is interesting to me, how sometimes; almost until the first snows there are still a few sparce leaves that have held on. I look to that as a personal example of strength and inspiration. That last leaf; that last one that holds on. Perhaps it is being held by ..read more

Thank you for coming by today! I am so blessed you have joined me for our weekly visit here on Invisible Avenues. Today, the shift into winter is definitely upon us. The mornings are getting a little frosty and the air is more brisk as the winds are picking up to the point they are a daily expectation. Those calm days in between, we are usually outside walking a bit. Dressed warmer for sure in layers; but outside none the less. I see you have found yourself a slice of the fresh banana bread to go with your warm tea today. I am helping myself to a slice of sour dough toast to ..read more
