Dear reflexologists, I have a very bittersweet announcement for you. While I was not looking to find a full-time job, a great opportunity presented itself and I decided to explore it. This has led to me accepting a full-time job starting on November 15. I’ve really loved working with all of you since I launched this business 2 years ago. It’s unfortunate that much of this time has been under the realm of the pandemic though. Had I not been offered this position, I would NOT have been seeking another job and would have been committed still to all of you. That said this job is a great opportunit ..read more

Are you using other people’s audiences to get new reflexology clients?

Using other people’s audiences. If you’re not familiar with this concept or phrase it can sound… like maybe it’s not kind or it might feel like you’re doing something sneaky, but I assure you it’s completely ethical (the way I suggest anyway) and often is a win-win marketing technique that can help you help more people. When you’re starting out building up that audience from scratch, it can feel quite slow and daunting to do so on your own. And even if you’ve been established for years, if you’re looking for a new infusion of clients this can give you that boost. Using other people’s audiences ..read more

Social what?!? What is social proof? Social proof I think is explained nicely by Robert Cialdini, in his book, Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion where he writes, “we view a behavior as more correct in a given situation to the degree that we see others performing it”. Social proof, also known as social influence, is where people are more likely to do something based on seeing others do it. Some may say it’s because people have a desire to fit in, be liked, and be accepted by other people. But at the core it goes back to our ingrained survival skills. Fitting in meant survival and our brai ..read more

#FacebookDown Takeaways for Your Marketing

Today Facebook was down. Instagram was down. And What’s App too. I of course immediately tried Twitter when I couldn’t access Facebook to see if it was an issue just on my end or not. And they didn’t let me down by not only confirming it wasn’t just me but also many of the #Facebookdown tweets were quite hilarious about it too. And laughter makes everything better right? Anyway. Things like this offer the best reminders to take a few minutes now to take stock in your own business. While this week it was Facebook, next week it could be something else you rely on even more.  Or it could be ..read more

It’s officially Fall and on our recent Target run my 11-year-old and I succumbed to the marketing ploy of seasonal scarcity and bought not one, but THREE special “pumpkin spice” treats for the kid. This splurge is the perfect tie-in to the marketing tip I was already planning on using the seasonal Fall changes to help you get new clients (and give the occasional clients a nudge to book now) using the “pumpkin spice” marketing pull. Fall Marketing Ideas for Reflexologists “Pumpkin Spice Package” For a limited time, maybe for the next 4 to 6 weeks, you can offer a special “Pumpkin Spice Package ..read more

World Reflexology Week (September 20 to 26, 2021) is a great reason and motivator for you to spend the week helping new people learn about the amazing benefits of reflexology. While typically a lot of reflexologists host special taster events where people can get a free or low cost mini session to see what it’s all about things might be looking a bit different this year as we enter our 2nd WRW during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Open houses, giving presentations, or doing tasters in a high traffic area still might not be as feasible in many places this year with the Delta surge. But don’t let that ..read more

What’s the most important part of your Reflexology Business’ Website?
OnPoint Reflexology Marketing Blog
by Kassy Killey

I could argue a lot of things are important. But the one thing that stands out among the rest? The content. There’s a trend these days to have minimalist websites with very little content and I think that’s the wrong way to go. It doesn’t provide potential clients with enough information to feel comfortable making a decision to choose you. On the other hand, you don’t want to overwhelm them either with too much information. You need a good balance. And you need information on the homepage that sets the tone for their whole experience. Before founding OnPoint Holistic Marketing, I did freelanc ..read more
