Why Pilates?
WHY PILATES?
I met up with an old friend from the fitness industry this week and he asked me “Why Is Your Passion Pilates?”

This is what I call MY LIFE PURPOSE!
I’ve always worked in job roles that have allowed me to help people to improve their health and wellbeing.
Started out as a Gym Instructor teaching Fitness Classes, became a Personal Trainer, delivered on a Weight ..read more

Sounds simple but this is important, as you want the class to be easily accessible. You might want it close to home so you can attend a class on your way back from work. You may want it within walking distance, so you don’t have to get the car out.
But whatever your reason, ensure it’s going to fit in with your everyday life so it’s easy for you to attend and not make excuses – especially in the cold wintry months, when its tempting to give things a miss to stay nice and cosy indoo ..read more

Upper Back Pain & Bad Headaches Gone Through Attending Pilates Classes!
I had always been active and healthy while working in a University library.
But when I retired, I started to get cramps across the the top of my back and shoulders.
They were very, very painful and holding my self tense had given me bad headaches too.

My daughter had seen New Healthy Body on Facebook so she sent me the link.
After a bit of research, I decided to sign up for a free tas ..read more

I have been attending Pilates classes at New Healthy Body for almost 5 years.
During this time I’ve come to better understand my body. Pilates exercises have helped each me how to tweak my everyday life in order to minimise the effects of arthritis, damaged spine and of course the general ageing process.
I am very aware that my muscle strength, flexibility and balance are infinitely better than they were 5 years ago and pain which was a constant companion before is now less frequent and much more manageable.
The class I attend is mixed ability and age but Clare allow ..read more
