Bord Bia’s ‘more-ganic’ campaign has kicked off, starting on November 6 and continuing until 17 December, with a second wave planned for next spring as part of a three-year initiative to support the organic sector. The Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland is asking its members whether it should remove the “Royal” from its name. Founded in 1816 as the Horticultural Society of Ireland, it added “Royal” before 1848. The society’s 1,500 members are invited to share concise submissions on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to the current and proposed names. Walsall Council has purchased a vehicle mounted spray unit with a Nomix VMU which has enabled their own street cleansing team to carry out their spraying programme on the highways’ areas across the borough.
