I was reminded of it when I discovered Corkscrew Soul by Sparky Bosque this weekend, and it became my Sunday soundtrack. If you admire the quality of Everett and Huxley’s work, this album is highly recommended. Sparky Bosque is ..read more

Trademark Issues is a long-distance band composed of Gary Hornseth and Mitch Armbruster. Despite their successful collaboration, they’ve only spoken directly twice. Billy Summer introduced himself to me by saying, “I think I’m Power Pop all the way through, but the metal and the soft rock keep me hostage.” On “Metal Detector,” the debut album of his band Florida, he proves himself right. You can find ‘Away From The City’ showcased on the Best Power Pop of 2024 Spotify Playlist.
