Hey there, party planner extraordinaire! Ready to dial up your Christmas gatherings? Let’s dive into two beautiful festive tablescapes that’ll have your guests swooning. We’re exploring a yin-and-yang tablescape situation: two contrasting yet equally captivating themes that will elevate your Christmas decor and festive table: Scandi Chic Vibes: Think Scandinavian cool meets effortless elegance. Picture this: linen, lush green foliage, and adorable white paper stars twinkling like nobody’s business as fairy lights. Add in some walnut wood elements for that cozy, earthy feel. And those candles ..read more

(This blogpost contains Affiliate Links) Christmas Tree – Oh Christmas Tree! I want you to be made sustainably ? I really do love Christmas decorations but on the one hand I prefer more minimal or boho style decor and on the other hand I always try to find more sustainable alternatives. Sustainable Christmas Tree And unfortunately classic Christmas trees don’t seem to be the most sustainable option. I do love them and I don’t rule out maybe getting a classic Christmas tree next year. Apparently getting buying native trees, for example in Germany spruce, pine or fir trees that grow on so-calle ..read more

(Ad / Affiliate) – Auf Deutsch hier! All products from Germany or EU. Scroll down for products from the UK) Believe it or not, I only became a real coffee lover 2-3 years ago. By now I’m almost a coffee snob. I usually only drink very, very good coffee and I celebrate the whole shebang in great detail: We grind the beans ourselves at home, we brew the coffee in the Bialetti or in the espresso machine and of course serve it only with oat milk as well as in a fancy hipster cup. I am often asked where we got our beautiful collection of cups. We actually built it up little by little. But I find i ..read more

(Hier diesen Blogpost auf Deutsch lesen) Today I am so excited to share with you our months long process of renovating our bathroom. Let me show you a before photo right away, so you can see what you’re in for in this blogpost ? Honestly? My husband and I actually hadn’t planned on such a big and quick bathroom makeover. When we moved into the house in August 2020, we were actually quite happy with the bathroom. It was only on closer inspection that we could see that the shower was a very very bad DIY project and unfortunately was not water tight, and actually broken in some parts and very s ..read more

A new DIY  Thrift Flip!!! That means, I create a completely new piece out of second-hand furniture. You can read about my last thrift flip here, where I transformed an old dresser into a new, modern one. Today, we’re turning an old changing table into a chic, modern vanity that fits perfectly in our Victorian-inspired bathroom! We found the vintage dresser on Facebook Marketplace and picked it up by car. I think it cost around 40 euros. Here you can see how the cute piece looked before:   In the first step, we thought about what exactly we wanted to change about the dresser. Our p ..read more

(Contains affiliate links, see below) New house – new furniture?  My husband and I bought a little old Victorian house last year right after we moved to England. Super cute, but definitely in need of some renovation projects. But such a big job is well worth it. Home ownership is an investment and everything we put into it is ours to enjoy for a long time to come! At the same time, we’re trying to approach the whole thing as sustainably as possible. It’s our first renovation project and I already have to say: renovating is pretty unsustainable! We have to tear down a lot of things that w ..read more

(contains affiliate links, see below – German version here) Oooooh a first little glimpse into our furnished new house! In this blogpost I already gave you a little tour of the empty house and here you can find a whole video of our move. The first room we finished is our office. We both work from home at the moment and even though Jesse is completely happy with the sofa and dining table, I desperately needed a designated work corner. My old desk didn’t fit into the new room, so we had to sell it. Unfortunately, no only because it gave me so much working space, but was also adjustable in heigh ..read more

(Advertisement because all Affiliate Links – German version here) Photo by aBohemiansAttic You know, I have a very specific interior style. I love boho, but I don’t like it too colorful. When the Scandi style was huge, I had zero interest in it and I started making macramé years ago. At the same time a lot of my furniture is second hand or homemade. So I couldn’t tell you a specific interior store that completely covers my personal style That’s why I like to create lists, like today’s, that show you different stores and brands. I have already presented some nice interior brands here and here ..read more

{This blogpost is also available in German / auf Deutsch – pic by Urbanara, see below} Decorating your home in a sustainable way is really not that easy. I used to be a big fan of super affordable mass produced interior products that were quickly available everywhere. At the same time, however, I always had a great love for special vintage pieces. But I never was able to fill the gap between mainstream cheap products and vintage items for a long time and often asked myself: Where can I get sustainably and fairly produced interior decoration and textiles? In my last blogpost about sustainabili ..read more

{This blogpost is also available in German / auf Deutsch – pic by Tiptoe Design, see below} I could always restyle and rearrange our apartment. A comfortable home is just very important to me. In fact, my fiancé and I often buy second-hand furniture and decoration, do our own interior DIY projects, or even repurpose existing furniture through upcycling. That’s how we save money and resources. After all, as far as interior design is concerned, less is more and longevity is the best way to make your own four walls more sustainable. But what exactly makes furniture sustainable furniture? There i ..read more
