Same motor+battery, small diameter wheel+tire equals more force, not more torque.

For example, assuming 16X and 18XL have the same pack, motor, ..., the 16X won't have more torque than 18XL, but it will generate more accelerating and braking force for the same amount of torque due to the smaller radius: force = torque / radius. I have  V85 = 35 lbs, 16 inch tire, and 18XLV2, 53 lbs, 18 inch tire. I weigh about 200 lbs with gear. The larger tire diameter and the greater weight of the 18XL means that 20% more torque is needed to achieve the same amount of acceleration or braking as the V8F. The V8F has limited power and limited acceleration, but it brakes well. If the EU ..read more

New to EUC charging questions

I just bought myself a new inmotion v8f and really excited to ride it in the next few days. I had a couple questions regarding the charging with the original charger. When I'm charging it for the first time the volts is at about 85.37 when i thought it was supposed to be charging at 84 volts? Is the battery getting overcharged? After unplugging and letting it sit it's now at 84.83 volts. Is this normal? Sorry for this noob question I'm still learning about batteries. I'm scared will this make it catch on fire? And second question is it says on darknessbot remaining mileage is 26 km at 100% wh ..read more

InMotion V14 First Impression (Heavy Rider)

Today I received my first EUC, the InMotion V14 50s and I wanted to give some first impressions both for the wheel itself and my first EUC experiance. A little about me, I am 6'3 287lbs and have never ridden an EUC. This was literally my first go ever. My biggest fears have been am I too heavy to ride and, if so, will I be able to go even moderatly fast. The V14 pads arrived first, and today the wheel itself arrived. Still in the box, this thing is HEAVY, 90lbs of wheel. 90lbs doesnt sound that bad until its between your legs. Secondly, the quality of this thing was very apparent. The only thi ..read more

Gear swaps?

I did some light digging, and I can't find anything like this on the forums. I know that many (most?) of us end up accumulating random bits that eventually collect dust. In my local telegram EUC group, sometimes we'll give away/sell/trade things. Is there anything like that here that I'm not seeing? I know there's a private sales section, but that seems to be focused almost entirely on selling wheels. But—as an example—I have an armored motorcycle jacket that had no takers in my local group, and I don't know where I could post something on the forums ..read more

Hi friends, I’m coming back to EUC Family after few years of absence… My first wheel is gonna be GotWay EX, so I’m just searching for ideas how to improve it here and there. Yes, I’ve bought the power side pads already… [ I’ll appreciate any form of support in regards of maintenance this wheel too. I know nothing about looking after suspension, what lubricant, how to … ? If you could share any links to let me gather the basic maintenance knowledge, I’ll be really thankful… ❤️] About 5 years ago today I was riding Z10, I’ve had mounted 6 or 7 short studs each side to improve boot ..read more

Average energy consumption - wheel efficiency

As I was assessing the range of S16 and came to several conclusions (here) I would like to expand this discussion little bit further. Could you share what “average energy” consumption of your EUC is? I mean the Wh/km indicator usualy seen in the respective app. This would be a nice measurement/comparison between several EUCs in different conditions - what real consumtion is and which EUC is more efficient. For example I would be very surprised to see that consumption of heavy top performance model e.g. Lynx will be similar such as medium range wheel e.g. V11(y) or S19 ..read more

6’3” 325 to be exact. After researching planning on buying a King Song 18XL very soon.  Ive been reading lots of comments from people about “rider weight” as it relates to “cut offs” “nosedives” etc, and it has me a bit concerned honestly. I’m a pretty athletic guy but are there size specific concerns when it comes to EUCs ..read more

Anyone in Orange County, California that can work on EUCs, like a tire change?

Anyone in Orange County, California that can work on EUCs, like a tire change? I'm considering buying an S18, but would prefer to find someone I could pay to do something like replacing a tire. Otherwise, I'll buy an 18XL V2, which is much simpler to work on ..read more
