50 Cent dominated the charts and music media in the early 2000s. In 2003, the same year Jay-Z announced his “retirement,” the Jamaica Queens native dropped the nine-times platinum Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. At his peak, 50 Cent probably appeared on more than 50 magazine covers (over a dozen XXL covers alone).
After a decade-plus of hustling on various blocks, Curtis Jackson entered the rap game with 1999’s “How to Rob.” A hilarious account of how he’d rob every popular rapper from Jay-Z to DMX, it garnered 50 a massive amount of attention. After he turned in his Columbia ..read more

Through the phases of change, Noah Kahan casts universal experiences into music like a filmmaker onto a vintage projector. With his uniquely haunting voice and ability to sing straight from the heart, Kahan has raked up over a billion streams worldwide and just received his first Grammy nomination for ‘Best New Artist.’ With three full length albums and a pandemic EP under his belt, it’s clear that despite this early success Noah is just getting started. He’s already got a varied, dedicated fan base and reached even more recently by going viral on TikTok with his hit ‘Dial Drunk.’ He is contin ..read more

After re-issuing studio albums over the past few years, Paul McCartney recently completing his ‘Got Back’ tour in Australia, and The Beatles officially releasing their already ranked number one final single ‘Now And Then’ last week, the band have now reissued their Red and Blue albums as 2023 editions. A masterclass in stereo mixing and arrangement, this reissue adds textures and exposes nuances from multi-track recordings that will sure leave fans critical of whether the original or the remixed version was sonically better. One thing we can all agree on, is that with the addition of the final ..read more

Beginning his career behind the country music curtain as a songwriter for other artists, Chris Stapleton has undoubtedly become a force of nature in his own right with his most recent release Higher. Following career-high collaborations with acts like Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Adele, as well as a much-acclaimed discography of four previous albums and several EPs, there’s plenty of pressure on Chris Stapleton to deliver with his fifth full-length project. Unsurprisingly, deliver he does.
Higher boasts Stapleton’s distinctive songwriting style, gravitating towa ..read more

“My artpop could mean anything”, Lady Gaga declared to the world on her bombastic third studio album ARTPOP, now miraculously celebrating its tenth anniversary. It’s a statement of a title, one that carries the weight of a polarised critical reception, modern cult classic status, and a turbulent emotional era for Gaga herself. Regardless of its reception, from the opening moments of ARTPOP’s tremendous lead single ‘Applause’, this is an album which indeed stands to “crash the critics saying ‘is it right or is it wrong?’”.
Brought into the world on November 6th, 2013, ARTPOP is an aesthetic mel ..read more

An unlikely gift from the passage of time with a release of the dubbed ‘Final Beatles song’; Now And Then. A song that began as a demo from John Lennon playing his piano in his New York apartment in the early 1970s, this song has had an interesting journey to fruition.
A short film was released a day before the release of the song, chronicling the over-four-decades-long journey that Now And Then has taken to get to this point. In addition to the short film, the song will be released alongside their debut single, Love Me Do, remastered in 2022 in stereo for the release of the last Beatles ..read more
