When I was in high school, there wasn’t a section for plus size clothing yet. When I had to shop for clothes or shoes, it was always a struggle to shop for my size because all the brands were mixed and not all of them carried larger sizes. My mom was fairly patient searching with me, but when I was shopping for jackets, jeans, or sneakers, there was always that one line she said that made me realize she was beginning to lose hope for finding my size:
“Maybe we should check the men’s section.”
It was always an embarrassing moment for me when I had to ..read more

The Philippines, home to 104 million Filipinos, has 175 languages.

Magaion Shirts is redefining the tie dye industry. The term magayon originates from the Bicol region, which means “beautiful.”
The brand, established in 2017, is breaking free of the fashion trend’s infamous Bohemian reputation through its vibrant designs. Its colorful swirls convey a laid back vibe. This lends an unexpected coolness to Magaion’s shirts best described as effortlessly chic.
The brand uses cold dyes that don’t fade and applies the silk screen method in creating its T-shirts

Wear that Pantone fashion in 2019. All photos by Rick Formalejo
It’s official: the Pantone Color Institute has announced that its color of the year for 2019 is Living Coral, also known as PANTONE 16-1546. According to Pantone, Living Coral symbolizes our desire for playful expression. It describes this vibrant and ultra-feminine color as “an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge.”
Well, we don’t know all about that “life-affirming” bit. But we are loving this shade. And we think this saturated orange based with a gol ..read more
