Hi everyone, New to the reloading game and a bit overwhelmed with power choices. Everyone asks questions like “what 5 cartridges for the rest of your life”, so I figured why not ask here and see what the 5 must haves would be! submitted by /u/Yorkmiester [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I keep getting stuck cases

I'm pretty new to reloading, and I am running a lee six pack pro with a lee carbide sizing and decapping die for 9mm. I was getting stuck cases 1 in about every 40-50 or so after my first 600-700 rounds. I thought it was my bench not being sturdy enough as I could see the press flex the wood, so I reinforced the bench where there's no flex at all now. No luck. Then I bought a new die, got it in, wiped down the insides, and am now getting stuck cases ever 3 or so. Brass is once fired, cleaned, and polished. Any ideas on what to do? I'm getting pretty frustrated with the press, but please don't ..read more

I'm having a headspace issue. I am relaodinf 308 on a hornady ap press and using hornady custom 308 dies die is all the way to the shell plate plus a extra .25 turn. I'm having a issue where some of my cases are not sized right. Maybe 15 percent of cases submitted by /u/DsFirearmSales [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

American Reloading Factory Seconds SPPs?

https://americanreloading.com/product/factory-2nds-small-pistol-primers-made-in-usa-free-ship-haz-5000ct/ Considering the price for 5000 and the free hazmat and shipping these are indeed tempting... even more so with the stock shortages. Has anyone had experience with these? They say the only thing that makes them factory second is that the cups are hard for SP. It also doesn't make note as to which brand of primer. Can it be a mix? submitted by /u/modex20 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

So Im going to reload these with hornady xtp mags using h100/w296. Do I need magnum large rifle primers or can I just use large rifle? I have 4k+ LRPs and really wouldnt wanna buy magnums since they are unicorns right now. Hodgdon recommends magnums but hornady manual says normal rifle is fine. Anyone have experience reloading these? submitted by /u/marketdipper [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I recently got this from an estate sale lot, but not sure what this tool does. I recognized many of the parts and fittings as components and dies to a MEC 600 junior reloader. submitted by /u/barr111 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Question for the Henderson trimmer crowd

Hey guys/gals… I have a newbie at my shop right now who I am teaching how to reload. After a while, I left him to go process brass so I’m not hovering and so I can mow. He mentioned to me that he is seeing some variances in case length after trimming (Hornady brass, 6.5CM). Just switched to a Henderson a few months ago and it seems to just work great and do its thing… I never bothered to measure each case’s OAL. Sure enough, checked some of my Grendel brass that was waiting for powder & projectiles; most were +/- .001” but I did find some that were +/- .005” and one that was .010” differe ..read more

Reasons for a Turret

If you had a single stage press and a progressive press is there any reason to have a turret press. I would think the single stage is for the one off's and the progressive is for the high volume. What would the advantage be to adding a turret? submitted by /u/MoeTCrow [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
