What would you do with primers with a 28% failure rate?

I got a bunch of Tulammo primers about 10 years ago. I broke into them recently and discovered my guns aren’t setting them all off. I hit the range today and out of 50, 14 wouldn’t go bang, in 2 different guns. If you had roughly 2k of these left, what would you do with them? To be fair, I haven’t tried them in my AR9, yet, since I discovered this recently. Perhaps that will have enough oomph. ETA of course these won’t be used in anything but range ammo, but I hate to put a bunch of time... What would you do with primers with a 28% failure rate ..read more

I ran a batch of 100 of these primers through 2 of my gen4 17's with no issues at all this morning. Both guns have stock internals/springs. I loaded them on a Dillon 650XL. I double pumped the downstroke when seating the primers, which is my normal SOP for whatever primers I may be loading. I think they're just a tad larger in diameter than say, Winchester SP's as it feels like they're being swaged down a bit as they enter and seat. They seated good enough obviously. Very small... Couple questions on reloading
Glock Talk » Reloading

Just started giving reloading a serious look, completely new to it. So far I'm looking at single stage lee presses, a reloading manual, calibers, scale. The two questions I have is 1. do I need a case trimmer if I'm only reloading 44 mag (Straight walled cartridge) 2. the only spot I'd have to reload is in the garage, which down south gets very humid especially during the summer, I'm assuming that could cause issues if the powders are exposed to that ..read more

Ordered an 18" barrel and bolt from Mad Dog Weapon Systems about a year and a half ago along with Hornady Custom dies. Finally finished the build this year and today was my final test for load development with a 180gr Speer Hotcor. I am averaging out at 2615 fps with a SD of 4.7. This was my 4th reloading of this 20 pc test lot and I don't see why it couldn't take at least one more reload. Accuracy was 1.5" at 100 yards but I'm using a 3x Vortex scope. My eyes can't see much better than that... 358 Yeti (wildcat) 180gr Hotcor ..read more

I'm looking for a good load for target shooting with the above bullet and powder. Shot from a P365. Anybody have a safe load I can just go with? Im not looking to do ladder test. I'm looking for reasonable accuracy at short distances. Ive never gotten an unsafe load off of GT for 9mm. Seriously looking for a load I can just load up 500 with and call it a day ..read more
