Naomi and Stu’s gorgeous Elopement is in print in the latest Together Journal December 2021-January 2022 Together Journal and we couldn’t be more proud. I have loved this magazine since its inception. It’s always pushing the boundaries of wedding fashion so to have my work selected to be printed in this magazine is a dream come true when only a few weddings grace its pages each year.   The post Featured Together Journal Magazine appeared first on Charlotte Kiri Photography Wanaka ..read more

A lot of the best artists didn’t have success, or become iconic until generations later when their work was finally recognized. So why when something is new, or a bit different… or perhaps not realistic in wedding photography people take it upon themselves to discredit i ..read more

How many people have dreamed of winning photography awards? I hate to admit how many times in the past few years in business I have entered photography awards often to get my hopes up to be dashed as the awards are announced and none of my photos were picked… I am imagining if you’re reading this blog. You may have  felt the same way? You start wondering if you should even put yourself out there and if you are good enough. My daughter has been doing ballet competitions and the more she competes I realise how hard it’s to judge art and sometimes I think surely one child has won for them n ..read more

Why we focus on family, as well as mountains

Going through two years of a pandemic has really made us realise the importance of capturing not just the epic mountains, but also the special people at your wedding. A pandemic makes you realise that life is so fleeting and those you love may not be around for ever. Which is why when you get married even though you may not want to do them,  family photos are actually important. Last month we lost Bruno’s mum and it was truly devastating, but as we looked through the images on our special day, we felt at peace that we had so many lovely moments of us together at our wedding. It brought t ..read more
