Georgie and Dave flew over from Sydney for their Elopement on Coromandel Peak in Wānaka. They first got in touch to plan an intimate wedding but covid derailed those plans. Some time later, they hired wonderful Queenstown wedding planners Amoment and we were back on track even though plans has slightly changed. Such a lovely couple and simple beautiful elopement ..read more

I felt a little like Slim Aaron’s himself on this sunny day in Wānaka. “Photographing attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places”. Mel and Guy, beautiful inside and out, brought a big group together for their wedding party at Horseshoe Bend. I am ridiculously behind in featuring weddings so this is already a few years ago now, but it was wonderful to revisit this day and remember big parties in the sun ..read more

Chloe and Brad were married in summer at the beautiful Thurlby Domain, Queenstown. Chloe’s dad, not only walked her down the aisle but then became their celebrant! After an emotional ceremony, some bubbles and lots of hugs we drove to a special site in Jack’s Point for portraits of just Chloe and Brad before returning to Lake Hayes Pavilion for their reception. Chloe and Brad had originally planned to marry in Byron Bay, and still wanted to create a relaxed, food truck, street food vibe which they did for a fun filled night. I must make mention of the stunning ombre flower arch by The Vase ..read more

I loved Kelsey & Jordan’s wedding celebration at Rippon Hall in Wanaka. With a group of almost 250 to celebrate with them, the energy & the joy was huge. Kelsey & Jordan wanted to spend every second with their loved ones and were having so much fun that we cut the photo shoot short to get back to the party and later skipped the cake cutting to get on the dance floor sooner and Jordan had the first dance with his sister and spun her around the floor in her wheelchair. I loved their fun attitude that ensured they had the best day. Big thank you to my second shooter for the day Laur ..read more

Julia & Seb, like so many, had their wedding plans completely derailed by Covid. When plan b is this wonderful, there is so much hope! In about 2 weeks, they planned an intimate elopement in Wanaka, which was to be a surprise for a small handful of family and friends who could make it, under the ruse of Seb’s sisters birthday. The surprise was then turned back on them, when Seb’s dad announced that in keeping with German tradition, he was ‘stealing’ them, their gorgeous 6 week old son, their mothers and sister Nina off to a mountaintop in a secret helicopter that was awaiting them. I was ..read more

Liam & Steve married at Arrowtown’s romantic Thurlby Domain in September. Their ceremony took place in front of the historic ruins adorned with displays of pink cherry blossom. The guests were then invited to take a walk through the garden and be entertained by photo boards telling Liam & Steve’s story. They then held their cocktail hour amongst rustic barns located on the grounds. We slipped away for a drive to nearby Coronet Peak where we took some quick and chilly portraits before rejoining the party for dinner, speeches and dancing in the main Woolshed at Thurlby Domain ..read more
