Georgia and Mitch’s wedding was a unique celebration full of colourful and meaningful details. After six years together these two sweethearts tied the knot at the amazing outdoor greek theatre at Rathkeale College in Masterton. Georgia’s father is the principal at the college and Georgia is also a primary school teacher which made the whole event so fitting and special. I was so excited to photograph Alana and Tane’s wedding. They’d been involved in multiple weddings that I’d previously photographed and I spied their great relationship and gorgeous good looks. They married at Tane’s family marae in Hongoeka Bay, Plimmerton. On a bright sunny day, they said their vows in front of the wharenui. Gaby and Phil had an intimate city wedding in our cool little capital that truly celebrated some of the best we have to offer. They tied the knot in style at The Canape Company’s gorgeous event room on Thorndon Quay. The food tasted even better than it looked and the space was decorated by the queen bees at Elegant and Wild, who planned and executed the day flawlessly. Gabby and Nick are both molecular biology geeks who met while working in a lab together. They are smart, funny, kind and the perfect pair. They were so in love that I hardly had to say a word when taking their portraits. They wandered around Sudbury’s gorgeous property and Te Horo beach at sunset and soaked in the day with each other. I know I say it all the time, but I really do have the most wonderful couples. Nina and Mikey are the kind of people that you instantly want to be friends with. This tropical family garden was the perfect setting for their joyous, vibrant backyard bash. Pearl and Scully’s wedding was one to remember. They married surrounded by the lush Wilton bush with their pooch, Ceasar, by their side and their favourite people watching on. Pearl was the most beautiful barefoot bride who sang a rendition of S Club Seven’s “You’re my number one” as she walked down the aisle to Scully. Definitely the best ceremony entrance I’ve seen yet. My husband and I travelled through Italy for four weeks last year. After the chaos of the past few months it makes us feel incredibly lucky to have had the chance to explore some of this breathtaking country. It was a magical experience for all of the senses. We spent time in Venice, Florence, Chianti, Rome, Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Our hearts go out to Italy with all they have been through in this scary time. I was exceedingly flattered and excited that my friends Ying and Sam wanted me to photograph their wedding. Their urban Melbourne celebration was even cooler than I thought it would be. We started their portraits by wandering around their colourful neighbourhood and ended up at their favourite local bar/pizza restaurant, Lazer Pig (shout out to them for the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had). Abby and Andrew’s wedding was definitely a highlight from last summer. The always stunning Ohariu Farm was the perfect setting for these two smitten kittens. These two are super skilled in so many areas, the stand outs being that they are world champs in underwater hockey (!!!) and Abby has an incredibly beautiful singing voice. She sang a version of Lady Gaga’s “Is that Alright” to her new husband and it was freaking fabulous! I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house.
