From the moment this enquiry hit my inbox, I knew these two were my kind of humans. When they flew down to Christchurch for their engagement session I was convinced that I would keep them forever and ever, and I became even more excited for their dreamy day. After a few touch-and-go travel glitches that saw the top of the North Island be closed off due to rain, I managed to make it into Kerikeri late the night before the wedding (shout out to Alex from Revel in White for being on standby and second shooting). I was frothed to have made it, and boy did the weather gods turn it on. Flying in wit ..read more

Gutsell Family // Port Hills

Last year right before I went on Maternity Leave I had the privilege of capturing this super cool wee family on the Port Hills. After a few attempts that were ruined by poor weather, we had the most beautiful light and the boys made it so much fun. My family shoots aren’t too serious, we don’t do lots of posed shots but rather focus on having a fun time and making a fun memory for you and the kids. I document that, it its raw form so you can remember it forever. It won’t be long and we will be updating these again (I can’t wait to catch up with this family again in Sept) so I thought I had be ..read more

*Insert Fire Emoji* This day was a sizzler in so many ways. Not only was it 36 degrees, everything about this day was absolute fire. The people, the place, and the vibes were These two were the last couple I shot before going on maternity leave, and my first couple back behind the camera and they did not disappoint! Such a fun group of people, and a magical location at their home and it made for oodles of fun, after a lovely (and slightly emotional ceremony). We did end up having to escape the heat by heading down to the forestry by the river for a breather and the light was insane. With a ..read more

Karin + Nic // Broadfield Gardens Wedding

Karin and Nic’s December wedding was a beautiful celebration with their friends and family. The stunning backdrop of Broadfields Gardens provided the magic for their special day, and Danielle was there to capture all the moments. Despite the scorching hot weather (and I mean scorching), the shade of the gardens and the stunning marquee by Truly Yours provided an elegant space for the guests to gather and celebrate. Alex and her team at The Flower Press created the most stunning color palette for the florals, which were a favourite for the season. Karin and Nic’s love for each other was evident ..read more

Nicole + Ben // Wild West Coast Wedding

Attitude is everything Nicole and Ben’s ***WILD*** West Coast wedding was absolutely legendary! They got married at Lake Brunner, which was always going to be a bit of a gamble weather-wise (insert eyebrow raise from the parents + a few I-told-you-so’s) I drove over the morning of the wedding and all I could think of was thank god they seem chill, and.. I’m so glad I have knee-high gumboots and a good coat. We knew we weren’t going to get away from the torrential downpours so impulsively switched portraits to pre-ceremony while the weather wasn’t as bad as it was meant to be. They kept their ..read more

Elora + Ben // Amuri Estate Wedding

Sharing this wedding brings me so much happiness as it just filled with amazing people I first met Elora when capturing her sister Lydia’s wedding in 2019. That was a beautiful and fun day and I remember laughing my head off with these girls and just loving their company. I took a sneaky photo of Elora and Ben at the wedding and joked about one day capturing their wedding too. When I saw Ben had dropped a knee in 2020 I was low-key hoping I would get the call-up. I didn’t have to wait long, I’m pretty sure the same day that email came through and we both started dreaming about how special this ..read more

Sarah + Nick // Bangor Farm Wedding

Way back in February, Sarah and Nick tied the knot at the stunning Bangor Farm. From memory, this was about the only dry weekend in what was a very wild month for weddings and honestly, it couldn’t have been any better (apart from it was the best day for harvesting poor Sarah’s dad had all summer ) They both got ready locally, and had the ceremony and reception on-site at Bangor, meaning plenty of time to mingle with their guests and soak it all up. We had such a fun day celebrating and it was topped off by the funniest speeches, and most perfect sunset. I have so much I could say but instead ..read more

Miller + Piki // Rainy Christchurch Wedding

On one of the soggiest days of summer, Miller and Piki got married – and frankly, it was spectacular. This summer has been a ride, hasn’t it? The horrible C, and the wettest summer on memory – and honestly the weddings that have gone ahead have just been even more special! These two humans are honestly some of the kindest people I have ever met, and their whanau was equally as welcoming and amazing letting me feel like a member of their family for the day. I know that this wasn’t the ideal summer wedding they had planned, but they really did embrace the elements and we rejuggled the day on th ..read more

Captured by Danielle – Associate Photographer Edited by Sarah Back in November Danielle joined these amazing humans for their stunning Waipuna Estate Wedding. These two had such a fun and beautiful wedding with some seriously dreamy soft light. Waipuna has stunning views over Christchurch and the Canterbury Plains, and is such a sweet spot for an imitate wedding with everything onsite. Dani had a tonne of fun with this crew, and it was topped by them having some of the best vendors in Canterbury. What a dream! Enjoy! Vendors: Venue – Waipuna Estate Celebrant – Kate Clark Hair – Graceful Hai ..read more
